E Vigée le brun. Annotated below in pen Alfred Blanc 1835. Label of the stationer and color merchant COIFFIER, N° 121 - Rue du Coq Honoré. Bibliography: On Elisabeth Vigée Le Brun's pastel landscapes, particularly those done in Switzerland (1807 - 1808), Lake Thun, Lucerne or Geneva, please refer to the catalog of the Elisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun Exhibition (Paris, New Yorl, Ottawa; 2015 - 2016; pp. 26 & 27; 324 - 327). The Minneapolis Museum holds a view of Lac de Challes au Mont - Blanc of similar dimensions (22.7 x 33.8 cm) and technique to the one described above (Cf. idem Fig.14, p. 27).
